Transparency on identity, custody, and liability

Canonical overview for international users. Covers GDPR/immutability, non-custodial posture, and oracle usage.

What is ODINID exactly?
Sovereign gateway

ODINID is a cooperative-operated service gateway built on VerusID. We are not a bank, an exchange, or a payment processor. ODINID provides a secure portal and APIs for identity-first login, governance, treasury monitoring, and non-custodial workflow helpers.

Terminology: ODINID is the portal/operator layer. ODIN refers to the broader stack (nodes, gateway, AI agent, Odoo) and is also used as a campaign/currency name in crowdfunding contexts.

Do you have access to my funds?
Non-custodial

No. ODINID does not custody user keys or user funds.

  • We do not have access to your private keys or seed phrases.
  • We cannot move funds on your behalf.
  • We cannot execute transactions without your direct signature.

You are your own bank. ODINID can only propose transactions; you sign locally.

Note: ODINID may operate cooperative-owned wallets (e.g. bridge reserve vaults) with isolated operator keys and on-chain policy. This does not give ODINID access to your wallet.

How do I log in without a password?
Self-sovereign

We use Self-Sovereign Identity (VerusID). Instead of storing passwords, you perform a cryptographic handshake:

  1. ODINID sends a unique challenge to you.
  2. You sign this challenge locally with your VerusID key.
  3. ODINID verifies the signature. Your credentials never leave your device.

Hackers cannot steal credentials from us because we hold nothing to steal.

How is ODINID preparing for quantum-era cryptography?
Architecture-ready

ODINID is designed for quantum migration readiness, not for making blanket claims of quantum immunity today.

Our identity model is built on VerusID continuity. That means identity, claims, and ownership relationships can remain intact while signing keys are upgraded as stronger cryptographic standards become available.

Komodo technology has documented Dilithium-based post-quantum transaction capability on optional smart-chain paths. This supports our long-term migration strategy.

Current claim: architecture-ready for quantum migration. We do not claim full end-to-end post-quantum protection across every active chain flow today.

How does voting work?
Client-side signing

Voting is signed client-side with your VerusID:

  1. You select For or Against.
  2. Your browser or wallet generates a digital signature.
  3. The signature is verified and recorded.

Because voting is tied to your unique VerusID, fraud is mathematically hard and easy to audit.

Blockchain & data immutability
On-chain & permanent

Transactions, proposals, and votes signed with your VerusID are broadcast to public blockchains (Verus, Marmara, etc.).

  • Public nature: Once broadcast, data is permanent and visible to anyone running a node.
  • No erasure: ODINID cannot delete or alter data confirmed on-chain, even if you later request account deletion.
  • User responsibility: Do not embed personal information (PII) in memos, proposals, or content maps.
Limitation of liability & warranty
As-is / no warranty

The ODINID portal and AI agents are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind.

  • Software risk: Blockchain software, bridges, and smart contracts carry inherent risks (bugs, exploits, network failures).
  • No financial advice: Treasury/prediction data is informational only. Prices and valuations come from third parties and may be delayed.
  • Liability cap: ODIN Cooperative and contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, or consequential damages from using this interface or protocols.
Third-party oracle data
Proxied pricing

Pricing is sourced primarily from trustless on-chain PBaaS converters. CoinGecko is used as a secondary fallback for redundancy.

Market view: markets.komodoplatform.com.

  • Anonymized requests: Calls are proxied through the ODINID backend; your IP and VerusID are not exposed to these providers.
  • No tracking: We do not use third-party analytics scripts or pixels.
